Roller Blinds vs Roman Blinds
One is practical and compact, the other soft and tailored. A clear comparison before you choose.

Roller blinds
A single flat fabric on a tube. Minimal stack, easy to clean, wide fabric range from sunscreen to blackout, and the cheapest way to control light properly. Best in kitchens, bathrooms, offices and behind curtains.
Roman blinds
Tailored fabric that stacks into soft folds. Warmer and more decorative, closer to drapery in feel, and better in dining rooms, bedrooms and studies. It needs more depth above the window and costs more than a roller of the same size.
Simple rule
If the window is functional, use a roller. If the window is part of how the room looks, use a roman blind or drapery.
